Arnold Gniwek is a Polish concert pianist known for his expressive musicality, refined sense of detail, and distinctive sound. His interpretations combine clarity, imagination, and a strong artistic personality, earning him recognition on international stages.
He has performed in numerous countries across Europe and the United States, including Poland, Switzerland, Spain, France, Germany, Sweden, Slovakia, Ukraine, Italy, and the USA, appearing both as a soloist and chamber musician.
Arnold Gniwek is the president of the Elena Aleksiejuk Foundation and the artistic director behind several international music initiatives, including the AD LIBITUM International Piano Competition. His work focuses on creating platforms that support young pianists and promote artistic individuality.
In 2014, together with Daria Żurawlowa, he founded the Rachmaninow Piano Duo (rachmaninow.com), an ensemble dedicated to the exploration of piano duo repertoire, with a particular affinity for the works of Sergei Rachmaninov.
As a soloist, he has collaborated with distinguished conductors such as Krzysztof Penderecki, Massimiliano Caldi, and Szymon Kawalla. His artistic development has been shaped by close collaboration with musicians and mentors representing diverse musical traditions.
He is a laureate of numerous national and international piano competitions, including:
- 1st Prize – International Music Competition in Sogliano al Rubicone (Italy)
- 1st Prize – 15th International Piano Festival in Nałęczów (Poland)
- Laureate – “Estrada Młodych” at the Polish Piano Festival in Słupsk
- 3rd Prize – 11th International Piano Competition Eugenia Verdet (Barcelona)
Alongside his performing career, Arnold Gniwek remains actively engaged in artistic and educational projects, supporting the development of young musicians and fostering a deeper appreciation of piano music across international audiences.
